Document Generation Automation, because there’s better things to do than paperwork.

Even as the world continues to rapidly evolve, we’re still hungry for more tech solutions — particularly the kind that felt as impossible as superhero powers only a few short years ago.

Anyone keen on teleportation?

Self-driving cars?

That fancy rehydrator from Spy Kids that turns little cardboard packets into pop-up McDonalds meals? (Surely I’m not alone on that last one).

Look, we’re yet to find an automation hack that could drive you to work (we’ll leave that to the experts) or come up with your next great idea for you, but we think we’ve come up with the next best thing: the superpower to never fill out a boring piece of paperwork again.

With this automation hack, we take an existing document, turn it into an online form, and produce a Word document or PDF to be sent to your customer or your team. Think order forms, invoices, legal documents — if it’s a document you use regularly in your workflow, we can automate it.

Not only are the possibilities endless in regards to the kind of documents we can turn into online forms, Word docs and PDFs, but so are the options for what your team could do if they were freed from paperwork slavery.

Release your sales team to spend less time chasing contracts and more time pursuing new leads, and save your admin staff from the mound of forms they’re swimming out of every time they need a coffee break.

This document generation automation has the added advantage of bringing with it extra layers of security. By moving your document processes from one that’s manual to one that’s automated and housed entirely online, you can reduce the risk of manual error and increase the data security that surrounds the sensitive customer information your automated forms will encompass.

How does it work?

  • The Customer or your team completes an online form (we use Jotform, but let us know if you have a preferred form builder)
  • The form fields are automagically sent through to Webmerge, with fancy programmer magic added in
  • The completed document or PDF is sent through to any email address, Google Drive, or Dropbox folder

If you’re interested in how you can make the most of this hack but you’re not sure where to begin, we’ve got a handy guide to kicking off your own automation audit. This document generation hack is a great way to dip your toes into the automated world, and enjoy that satisfaction that’s directly linked to saying adios to a manual task for good.
