An update from the Agility Automation team
Wherever you are in the world, we hope you’re safe, well, and adjusting to this new season. For many of us, it’s been a week of unknowns. Rapid changes have led to employees en masse moving to work from home, many industries are facing unprecedented challenges, and each of our communities is in the midst of figuring out how best to support and care for each other as each day unfolds.
It’s easy to feel a level of fear in the unknown, and we wanted to reach out and let you know how we’re here to be a support during this time.
In the face of circumstance, sectors and communities around the world are finding beautiful methods of response, using the weapon of hope in little and big ways. Comedians are live-streaming nightly chat shows. Authors are launching books online, building Facebook groups and new communities at rapid pace as people look to band together. Artists are adapting to use their skills to deliver online courses, accessible to people from their couches. Business that need more employees in the rush of demand on their products and services are reaching out to sectors who need to temporarily lay off their own. And there’s even neighbourhoods conducting nightly happy hours within social distancing parameters, planting camping chairs on their front lawns and sipping wine from a visible distance.
This moment marks an opportunity to draw from deep wells of creativity, to invest in the creation of healthy and rich communities, and to find ways to communicate with each other like never before. We all have a part to play, and we’re looking at how we can play our role during this season to be a support and a place of resource for small to medium business owners who are adapting at speed.
To that end, we’re inviting you afresh to join our Automation Hackers community. We’d like to continue to use this space to provide you with resources, insights, ideas, prompts and tools. Automation can play a role right now in streamlining business service deliveries, reducing costs, and taking up workloads that may be impacted by distance or illness. We’re here for you as a resource, and within this Facebook group, we’re always at hand to answer questions or provide new perspectives.
